Two great South African acts will travel to Zimbabwe this Saturday April 17 at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe. For Maskela, a titan of global music, whose contributions to American rock span back to the Byrds' "So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star" and work with Paul Simon, it will be the first visit to Zimbabwe in the wake of his son's untimely and tragic death. The festival this weekend will seem him at his best, performing jazz-by-way-of re-used mbaqanga influences.Also to perform are Ladysmith Black Mambazo along with Zimbabwe's Oliver Mtukudzi and the Cool Crooners, Sibongile Khumalo, Jazz Invitation, Mbare Trio and Italy's Silvia Manco.
